I know this idea/concept has been done to death in magazines but LOVE.

you may not know this about me, but i have my masters in library science, which means that i am a certified librarian (and archivist). so obviously, i got a little dramatic upon being notified that kate spade had literally jumped on the book bandwagon in the form of card catalog totes, book clutches, book log iphone cases, and more. this is all too, too good — does anyone have a paper bag i can blow into? thanks.

Robyn Lawley for Vogue Austrailia
ONTD (of all places) just introduced me to Robyn and this new queen of my heart has articulated something I’ve been thinking about lately: the way women (for centuries!) have been bullied into what’s essentially a prison of vanity because they weren’t able to, or allowed to, care about more important things by society.
"Curves don’t epitomise a woman. Saying, ‘Skinny is ugly’ should be no more acceptable than saying fat is. I find all this stuff a very controlling and effective way of making women obsess over their weight, instead of exploiting their more important attributes, such as intellect, strength and power. We could be getting angry about unequal pay and unequal opportunities, but we’re too busy being told we’re not thin enough or curvy enough. We’re holding ourselves back."
I am actually a little obsessed with finding a cute, lightweight yellow raincoat since we seem to be in for a rainy summer. This is my favorite, but, of course, it’s a UK store and it’s sold out in my size, AND it costs an arm and a leg. I’ve searched high and low online but I can’t seem to find anything other than this coat, which is also sold out in my size. :(

No, but seriously. Give me those sunnies. GIVE THEM TO ME!!
Obsessed with this whole look. Can anyone ID her sunglasses?
I would so love for this flower crown/headband tred to become a real thing!
My new precious thanks to JCrew’s 25% off sale and my total lack of self control. I’ve had my eye on a few winged totes, but I saw this one in the store tonight and kept thinking about it on the way home so I ordered it. It was a close draw between black and the sandstone color, which I still really love. Practicality won out, though—that beautiful light bag would get so filthy in the city (I don’t think it has feet, making this even more of an uphill battle), and it’s really only a spring/summer bag, whereas black can be worn year round. Likewise, I’m not convinced the pale neutral would really work with the bulk of my wardrobe, but, man, it’s beautiful. For the best of both worlds, you can also purchase the colorblock Tartine Satchel.
ETA—Nevermind, I also ordered it in sandstone to compare, and this bag in sandstone to see if I like that better. I’ll return two of the three, but UGH. Indecisive. Damn you, JCrew.
I really like both of these Gap maxi dresses, $79.95 each (especially the left). Get an extra 25% off with code GAPSTYLE. They’re also available in tall and petite sizes, hallelujah and amen.
Just ordered the dress on the left in three different sizes. One regular and two different Tall sizes—annoying that it doesn’t give you the garment length in the description!!! It looks REALLY long here, but I’m not sure if the model is wearing a Tall length or regular. Watch, I’ll need the regular length in the one size I didn’t order.
P.S. Apparently I’m allllll about the maxi dresses with sleeves this summer. I’m also trying this beautiful maxi dress, though it won’t ship until May. I have a feeling it’s going to be too baggy and maybe a bit too short, but a girl can dream. (Also, thank you Piperlime for listing the model’s height and size so we can judge fit!)
